'Squad' member joins Hamas leader, supermodel as watchdog's 'Antisemite of the Year' finalists

An advocacy and monitoring group focused on combating antisemitism, StopAntisemitism, has nominated US Representative Rashida Tlaib as one of the contenders for its annual "Antisemite of the Year" poll. Established in 2018, StopAntisemitism has included Tlaib, along with international supermodel Gigi Hadid and senior Hamas official Ismail Haniyeh, as finalists for the 2023 poll.

All three individuals were previously highlighted by StopAntisemitism as their "Antisemite of the Week." The organization criticized Tlaib for her rhetoric during the Israel-Hamas conflict, specifically characterizing it as a "genocide" and her defense of the "River to the Sea" chant, commonly used at pro-Palestine protests.
